The roofscraper

The “Roofscraper” is a project developed for the 2018 ARCHMedium competition [along with Maria Concepción Berenguer and Adrián Pedrazas]. The aim of the strategy is to compress more than the half of the program within two horizontal arms, trying to diminish the impact caused by a vertical body in a low heigh neighbourhood. The two arms create an extended new surface connected with the core, amplifying the public in connection to the street. At the same time, these two horizontal bodies fight against the vertically, occupying dead voids over the adjoining constructions.
